Melissa, my Poly pig has also those tiny black things that look like mites but do not move. My explanation is that it is dandruff that comes from her black patches ( she is a tri- colored, and I only notice that black dandruff where her black patch stops and her white patch begins). best wishes, Marion, Poly and Sweetie
