Dear Debbie

I do not have experience personally of my piggies having bumblefoot, but
Peter Gurney says:-

"The first syymptom is inflammation of the foot pads. This spreads to the
whole foot. Patches of hard skin like scabs form on the pads. When these are
lifted, the foot usually bleeds profusely. The flesh underneath these scabs
is usually ulcerated, and occasionally, but rarely, there is pus there. (In
the later cases there tends to be much less bleeding.)

"In cases where there is only ulceration and profuse bleeding, do not remove
the scab again once you have established that this is the case. When there
is pus, it is advisable to squeeze it out periodically, and then dress with
a non-toxic antiseptic cream after the cavity has been filled with
Terramycin intra-mammary soltuion. The latter is a POM, so a visiit to the
vet would be necessary."

Hope this helps.
