Thanks for the info, John, and I'm going to check out your babies.
I looked up the Guinness Book of World Records and the oldest
guinea pig lived for 14 years and 10.5 months and was named
Snowball.  
So.....I think this lady was exaggerating at least a little bit.  If not,
then good for her!  All of us here could only hope to have these
precious little footballs that long!
