Annual MGPR Fall Pignic 
Sunday, September 27, 2009 

Our PIGSTRAVAGANZA "Pignic" will held on Sunday, September 27. 

The pignic will be held from noon to 4 o'clock. Drop-in at any time and stay as long as you want. The pignic will be hosted at a NEW location this year at Sandymount Park pavilion in Carroll County, MD.

Bringing your pigs?? 

The park lawn is treated, so piggies will not be allowed direct contact with the lawn. Be sure to bring a blanket to place under your piggies' pen 

Unlike past years, it is decided for everyone to keep their cavies in a separate pens to avoid spreading disease and to prevent fighting. For this reason, please bring your own pen/cage as there will be no spare cages. The "cubes" used for C&C cages make great temporary cages for this type of environment. Contact us for more info on how to do this. 

Bring plenty of water-rich veggies for your pigs. You may also need to bring a cavy water bottle. 

Complimentary orchard grass hay and Oxbow pellets will be available for your pigs to "snack", if desired. 

Bringing human companions?? 

Friends and family are welcome! Bring as many people as you'd like! 
You may want to bring a lunch and snacks for yourself and your human buddies as food and drinks are NOT provided. 

MGPR will be sponsoring a bake sale for both the humans and pigs attending. 

Water and soda will also be available for purchase. 

Other pignic stuff: 

If you have any cavy related items to sell, bring them along! You have an audience of cavy lovers awaiting. 

MGPR will be selling some supplies such as bedding, hay, cozy, tunnels, etc., but "selling" isn't the purpose of this picnic. 

There will be a raffle of "pig stuff" and other give-aways throughout the day. 

However, this is NOT intended as a fundraising event. The purpose of the pignic is pure "Cavy Fun"! 

Please note this is not an MGPR-adoption event. While we will have some of our foster pigs at the pignic, no adoptions will take place.
