Were you ever smart to get her into that vet.  The Pyometra was the closest 
diagnosis.  This is very touchy surgery and will have a long recovery period 
(meaning the gut part). So if he puts her on Reglan  or anything to keep gut 
activity low be sure to taper it off slowly at the end and keep lots of 
simethicone on hand in case of gas.   You will be talking to Ann and staying 
in touch with her, right!
