Hello all my much loved gp friends,
I've had so much bad stuff to post lately, I just had to post this story to
you all.

My stepson gave me an Amazon gift card for my birthday last month. So, I
was perusing Amazon for something I couldn't live without. Of course I
found it. A pair of sterling silver guinea pigs earrings. They sound
adorable and I can't wait to get them. So today, Earl and I were in the
kitchen, taking care of Callie and giving her her meds and sachets and food.
I told Earl, "I am going to order some guinea pig earrings today." There
was this dead silence that followed. Then, I swear to God, he said "How are
we going to keep them on her?" I just about wet my pants laughing. Poor
Callie! Can't you just picture it? I needed that laugh.

I spoke wwith Ann today and she had me start Callie on the sachets.
Luckily, I had some left from when Eve had a UTI. She also told me to get
her off the kale as it is full of minerals and we want to keep her washed
out right now. So, it is back to green leaf lettuce. This is exactly the
opposite of what the vet told me but I trust Annn's word any day. We just
weighed Callie and she has gained almost 2 ounces today. For those of you
in the world of metric measurements, that is approximately 57 grams. So, I
am pleased about tthat. She also had me put her back in with her sister
instead of keeping them separate. I take her out every 2 hours to feed her
and give her the sachet and her other meds. But, I think they are both
happier with being together again. I had them separated because Eve eats
everything in sight and I was afraid Callie wasn't getting enough food.
This will work for the time being though. Earl is going to have to play
piggy gynecologist today. Ann wants him to watch a video on how to massage
and examine the urethra. I think he has watched it before and I remember
him doing it on Callie. I have to give my husband credit.... he is awesome
when it comes to helping me care for my girls.

That's about all the news for today. I am still sitting here chuckling
every time I think of the guinea pig earrings. LOL

A note to Ann: I don't see the link to that video in my mail. If you have
the internet capability, would you mind sending the link again? Thanks so
much.

Hugs, love and whisker kisses,
Lynn, Callie & Eve with Sammy, Tabby & Penny the guide dog at the bridge and
in our hearts and memories.
