[Gpdd] CARE: feeding Critical Care

I think allowing healthy piggies a chance to develop a taste for Critical
Care is a very good idea. These supplements for ailing piggies are full of
vitamins and minerals, so really can't do them any harm. Ritter had a
health scare in July when he stopped eating - a veterinarian friend
discovered that he had some sort of infection in his jaw - and HerbiCare
four - five times a day in a syringe saved his life. Now I give him around
25 ml of HerbiCare daily, to keep his weight up (elderly pigs tend to lose
weight, and he's 7) although he's now very healthy. I have been giving
Tilly some as well so she doesn't feel neglected, and so she'll be
familiar with the taste if and when she ever gets sick. HerbiCare is
rather hard to get, so I bought two containers of the more readily
available RodiCare, which Ritter HATED - when it was in a syringe. Then I
found out that if I shaped the RodiCare paste into little balls and put
them around in the cage, both Ritter and Tilly decided that RodiCare was
delicious.
